Ali Asghar , Director General
Mr. Ali Asghar is a distinguished BS-21 officer of the Civil Service of Pakistan, currently serving as the Director General of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD). With a wealth of experience across various ministries, regulatory bodies, and public sector organizations, he has built a remarkable career in the public service sector, contributing significantly to key national initiatives.
Mr. Asghar’s career is marked by his diverse roles in high-profile assignments, demonstrating expertise in public administration, governance, and regulatory oversight. Before assuming his current role as Director General of NCHD, he served in several prominent capacities, including at the Ministry of Information Technology, twice in the Prime Minister’s Office, and at the Ministry of Interior. Additionally, he has worked with organizations such as the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Privatization Division, and the Establishment Division.
