JICA AQAL organized a three-day Joint Coordinating Committee Workshop from 20–22 July 2026 in Islamabad.

The participants of the workshop are representatives from the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT), the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Provincial officials of Education, Literacy and Non-Formal Education Departments of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as officials from the JICA Pakistan Office.

During the workshop, the worthy Director General, NCHD, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Each One Teach One (EOTO) Initiative. He highlighted the current state of human development and literacy in Pakistan, presenting comparative insights within the regional and global context. He elaborated on the rationale behind the initiative, its design, implementation strategy, achievements to date, and future roadmap.

The Director General also emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among federal and provincial stakeholders to scale up the EOTO initiative and accelerate progress towards achieving national literacy goals.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which the Director General responded to participants' queries and discussed opportunities for enhanced coordination and partnership in expanding the initiative across the country
