Mr. Hassan Baig

Mr. Hassan Baig, a senior officer of Secretariat Group has assumed the charge as Director General NCHD on 1st June, 2020. Mr. Baig did his M.Phil in Economics from Quaid-e-Azam University. He served at various top positions in civil services of Pakistan including Additional Chief Secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government, Joint Secretary Aviation, Joint Secretary Science & Technology, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, DG Pakistan HALAL Authority, Deputy Secretary FIA Ministry of Interior, Deputy Secretary Projects Establishment Division, Community welfare Attache/Counselor, Embassy of Pakistan, Tripoli (Libya), Assistant Commissioner Income Tax, as well as Executive District Officer (Community Development)/Finance Rawalpindi.

51st Senior Management Meeting was held at Head Office Islamabad dated 30th July, 2021. The Meeting was chaired by the Honorable Chairman of the commission and the Director General NCHD was also present where different program related activities were discussed at length, Director Education briefed the Chair about the forthcoming Literacy Project and HoD M&E got principle approval for conducting Evaluation study of the 2000 Literacy project funded by PHDF
The chair instructed the Directors/HoDs to break out new grounds to work on full scale across Pakistan keeping NCHD Constitutional Functions.
A meeting was held at NCHD Head Office dated June 29, 2021 under the chairmanship of Chairman NCHD, to discuss the possibility of collaborations for Adult Literacy and Numeracy Skills (ALNS) project in two districts of Sindh under Sindh Union Council and Community Economic Strengthening Support (SUCCESS) Program.
The Introductory meeting of the Commission was held at NCHD Head Office dated 2nd June 2021. Chairman NCHD welcomed the newly appointed Members. Director General NCHD gave a brief presentation to the honorable members covering NCHD Programs, Achievements , Future Role and challenges faced by NCHD

Elementary and Secondary Education (E&SE), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with NCHD and other partner organizations launched Enrollment Campaign 2019 at Govt. Shaheed Abdul Azam Higher Secondary School No.1, Jamrud district Khyber

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Mehmood Khan presented as a chief guest and the guest of honor was Federal Minister for Education Mr. Shafqat Mehmood along with other dignitaries i.e. Chairman NCHD Col. (R). Dr. Amirullah Marwat, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Dr. Allama Noor ul Haq Qadri, Adviser to CM for Education Mr. Zia Ullah Bangash, Secretary E&SE , MNAs, MPAs, Head of Departments of various organizations.

The Chief guest Mr. Mehmood Khan (CM) along with guest of honor Mr. Shafqat Mehmood (Federal Minister) inaugurated the event with the plantation of tree and enrollment of a child in the Community Feeder School

Mr. Hidayat Ullah Khan DG-National Internship Program visited NCHD office along with his team, on Tuesday 19, February 2019, had an exclusive meeting with Col (R) Dr. Amirullah Marwat Chairman NCHD

February,19, 2019: NCHD launches Community Learning Center (CLC) at Sarai Kharboza in Islamabad. CLC was inaugurated by worthy Chairman NCHD, Col. (R). Dr. Amirullah Marwat.

The NCHD and Hundreds of Original Projects for Employment (HOPE) have signed a letter of understanding to cooperate with each other and to integrate their planning and implementation activities to maximize the objectives of their common interest through Universal Primary Education and School Health Programme.

The geographical coverage of the intervention has included 34 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw province including newly merged area of FATA.

A meeting regarding signing of Letter of Understanding (LoU) between National Commission for Human Development and Al-khidmat Foundation Pakistan was held on 23rd January, 2019 in Karachi.
